About TennisLadr

Here is the “somewhat” true story:

Back when they were younger, Jay & Matt played college tennis. Upon graduating from college, Matt went on to become a great software programmer and Jay followed the money trail and became an elementary physical education teacher (think freeze-tag). So, the years passed and Jay & Matt's tennis playing dwindled. Wives, Jobs, Kids….you know the routine. Anyway, without boring you with all the in between, one day Jay & Matt were playing tennis, when they were approached to join a men’s tennis ladder. It was great. They felt “alive” once again. Months passed and Jay & Matt continued to play tennis……Regularly! They loved the competition. However, the manager of the tennis ladder calculated all of the scores and determined rank all by himself. This seemed to be a lot for just one man. (Not to mention…it was slow) This made Jay & Matt think……….and the seed of TennisLadr.com was planted. And it grew…and it grew, until its ultimate birth on January 15th, 2007. Jay & Matt were so proud of their brainchild they decided to share “it” (not sure if it’s a boy or a girl) with the world.

So we hope you enjoy our website and hope that “it” revolutionizes grassroots tennis. At least that’s what “it’s” first words were….and I quote “I wanna revolutionize grassroots tennis……milk please…..waaaaahhh!”

Now that you understand how our website was created, wipe the tears from your eyes and sign up to either join a “ladr” or even better “create a ladr.” Now if you want to learn about the actual website….here goes:

TennisLadr.com is an internet-based ladder system created by tennis players for tennis players. It is designed for teaching professionals, tennis coaches, tennis clubs, or any group of tennis enthusiasts that want to take their program to the internet. Anyone in the world that has web access can set up their own tennis league! Modeled after the traditional tennis ladder, TennisLadr.com is accessible 24/7 and matches are set up, played and scores are entered by league members. A password-protected area allows the Ladr Manager to edit league stats, invite new players, enter matches, and post messages on a “Message Board”. Players are not required to have internet access; however, it kind of defeats the purpose if they don’t. Players who do have internet access will enjoy many great features. Any player can go online to view other player’s availability times, enter match results, or get an update on other matches played. Players may also strategize online by viewing player profiles, stats, and match histories. Since the rankings are continually updated, players get instant feedback! TennisLadr.com is the most user friendly tennis ladder website on the market and our customer service is 2nd to none. Give us a try.
